Apple announced its second-gen M2 system-on-a-chip (SoC) and with it, a redesigned MacBook Air with the new chip. Despite refreshing its MacBook Air after 2 years, Apple has decided to continue to sell its MacBook Air (2020). Though, Apple has not cited any reason for this. The MacBook Air M2 is priced higher than its predecessor. The refreshed MacBook Air carries an initial price tag of MacBook Air with M2 starts at Rs 119,900 and Rs 109,900 for education. While, the MacBook Air 2020 (MacBook Air M1) can be purchased at a price as low as Rs 80,000 after several bank offers by the third-party platforms like Flipkart, Amazon, and others. The top- model of the MacBook Air M2 featuring 8-Core CPU, 10-Core GPU, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD is priced Rs 1,49,900. Launched at a price of Rs 92,900, 2020 MacBook Air’s price has been officially increased by Rs 7,000 to Rs 99,900. Apple offered the MacBook Air M1 at an aggressive price point in 2020 and it helped the tech giant to attract several Windows users. Why to opt for MacBook Air M1 Despite the performance and design upgrades, the MacBook Air (2020) is still a better buy for Indians looking for a device that can take care of their day-to-day work. Those who are looking for some video editing on their laptop should consider buying new MacBookAir 2022. The slightly less powerful with an old design, MacBook Air 2020 can be an appropriate to take care of regular daily tasks seamlessly for Indians looking for a high end laptop.
