Mark Zuckerberg shared the news in a post on Threads, saying, “Threads strong momentum continues.” View on Threads Zuckerberg has previously said that Threads has a “good chance” of becoming Meta’s next billion-user app. “I thought for a long time, there should be a billion-person public conversations app that is a bit more positive and I think that if we keep at this for a few more years, then I think we have a good chance of achieving our vision there,” Zuckerberg said during the company’s third-quarter earnings call. While it’s still a long way from that goal, the app’s growth is clearly speeding up. Threads reached 100 million users last fall and hit 275 million in early November, according to head of Instagram and supporter of Threads, Adam Mosseri.
