The company wrote, “As we continue to invest in programming and deliver more value for our members, we will occasionally ask our members to pay a little more so that we can re-invest to further improve Netflix. The current price hike comes a year after Netflix’s last increase in October 2023, when the Premium plan rose from $19.99 to $22.99. Around the same time, Netflix also discontinued its ad-free Basic plan, raising the starting price for ad-free streaming to $15.49, and now to $17.99.
