The reliable Apple news leaker iPhoneSoft has recently shared some interesting details about the next major Apple software update iOS 19. If the iPhoneSoft recent report is true, every iPhone that currently runs iOS 18 will also be eligible for iOS 19. This includes models as old as the iPhone XS and XR, which were first released in 2018. However, certain features might remain exclusive to newer devices just like we have seen with previous updates. The report also reveals that the 7th-generation iPad powered by the A10 chip and launched in 2019 is not getting iPadOS 19. This raises the minimum hardware requirement for iPadOS to devices with the A12 chip. However, the good news is that all other iPads currently supported will continue receiving updates for another year. iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 are expected to be unveiled in June 2025 during Apple’s developer conference, with a public release likely in September 2025.
