Users will now have to pay extra to add another person to an existing account to share the streaming subscription. According to the recent announcement, Disney+ subscribers will now be able to add an extra member to their Disney+ Basic Susbcription paying an additional monthly charge of $6.99. As for Disney+ Premium plan subscribers, adding an extra member to the plan will cost $9.99 per month. The new paid sharing plan comes with a few terms and conditions that make it look more like a crackdown. For starters, you can add only one Extra Member slot per Disney+ account. Moreover, paid shared membership will not be available for Disney Bundle subscriptions or any subscribers who pay via a third-party partner. The good news is primary Disney+ account holders will be able to access the subscription even when they are travelling. “If you’re on the go and you see the message “This TV doesn’t seem to be part of the Household for this account”, you can mark yourself as I’M AWAY FROM HOME, or select UPDATE HOUSEHOLD if you’ve recently moved and need to reset the Household location for your Disney+ subscription. These selections will require a one-time passcode that’s sent to the email address associated with the account,” Disney explained in a press statement.
