Back in October 2023, Vivo launched the Y17s, a budget-range device with a Helio G85 chipset in the Indian market. Tipster Paras Guglani has now revealed that Vivo is gearing up to reignite interest in this device with the launch of a new color variant soon. This version will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, whereas the previous models, available in Mystic Green and Glitter Purple, were limited to 4GB of RAM. Paras also shared an image of this new colour option, showing a diamond-patterned design on the rear with two camera sensors and an LED light. It offers a standard 60Hz refresh rate and brightening up to 840 nits. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, teamed with 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. As for software, it comes with Android 13-based FunTouch OS 13 out of the box. For photography, it features an 8MP front-facing camera, while the rear setup includes a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP bokeh lens. It has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.
