This isn’t all too surprising since Apple made a similar change last year with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The company raised the base price from $1,099 to $1,199 by eliminating the 128GB storage tier. However, it seems this won’t happen with the iPhone 16 Pro, which is expected to keep the same 128GB storage option for $999. There have also been rumours about 2TB of storage getting introduced in new 16 Pro models for the first time this year. If there is any truth in this, there is also a chance that Apple drops the 128GB option for Pro models. As mentioned, the Pro Max has already abandoned the 128GB option in the last iPhone 15 series. There are currently four storage options available and the chance of Apple introducing five seems far off.
