Tecno has been consistently launching new phones in India. The brand has so far launched the Phantom X2, the Phantom X2 Pro, and the Spark Go 2023 in the country. Now, it is gearing up to launch its next phone.
After launching the entry-level Tecno POP 6 Pro last year, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Tecno is all set to unveil its successor – Tecno POP 7 Pro – in India. On Twitter, the company did not announce the exact launch date but mentioned that it would be launching the smartphone in India in the upcoming week.
Tecno POP 7 Pro Price & Colours
The Tecno POP 7 Pro is said to be an entry-level smartphone. The smartphone was launched in Nigeria for 64,000 Nigerian Naira (approx Rs 11,428). So, the POP 7 Pro is expected to be launched as a budget phone in India as well. It has to be noted that the predecessor of the smartphone was unveiled for Rs 7,999.
The smartphone comes in three colour options – Endless Black, Uyuni Blue, and Nebula Purple. In India, it will arrive in two colors. One of them is blue, and here are its renders. There is no clarity on whether the color variant for India will be black or purple.
The Tecno Spark Go 2023 and the Pop 7 Pro have identical specs. The Spark variant offers 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. It is likely that the Pop 7 Pro may offer different RAM and storage capacities.
Tecno Pop 7 Pro Specifications
In terms of specifications, the Tecno POP 7 Pro features a 6.6-inch LCD with 720p resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
It sports a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary camera and a QVGA depth sensor. A 5MP sensor is equipped in the front for selfies and video calls. It offers two RAM options – 3GB of RAM or 4GB of RAM – and 64GB of internal storage.
The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging via a USB-C port. The device runs on the HiOS 12-based Android 12 OS.
The Tecno Pop 6 Pro was priced at Rs 7,999 when it launched in September 2022 in India. It is likely that the successor model may have a similar price.
