The official licensee of the FIFA games, EA Sports has predicted Argentina to be the country that is most likely to win the tournament this year. After France lifted the FIFA World Cup four years ago which was rightly predicted by EA sports, this prediction also has also caught the fans’ frenzy around the world. Not only last time though, but EA sports also rightly predicted the winners in 2010 and 2014. The iconic football festival this year has 32 countries locking horns on an international stage to take home the coveted trophy.
EA Sports in an official post on their website revealed certain details of their prediction and noted, “we’ve used EA SPORTS FIFA 23 with groundbreaking HyperMotion2 Technology and the dedicated FIFA World Cup 2022 ratings in FIFA World Cup Kick-Off and Tournament modes to simulate all 64 matches and see who will come out on top come December.”
As per the complete prediction, Argentina would face none other than Brazil in the finals and come out with flying colours at the end. On the other hand, France might have to settle for the third spot in the chart as per the predictions.
While making the predictions public on their website in an official post, EA sports said, “The stage was set for two of football’s greatest rivals to meet for the first time in a FIFA World Cup™ since 1990 and the first time ever in the Final. Unsurprisingly it was another tense game that was decided by a single goal, but it was the Albiceleste that sent their nation into euphoria as Lionel Messi scored his eighth goal of the tournament to give his country their first FIFA World Cup™ title since 1986, their third overall, and filled in the last remaining spot in his trophy cabinet.”
The prediction got Argentina and Messi fans super excited for more reasons than one. This year’s world cup is going to be the last one for captain and star player Lionel Messi. And as one would expect, nothing could be more iconic for him than lifting the trophy and writing history as he has always been doing. Giving a reason for further cheer, EA Sports also predicted Messi to be the highest scorer of this world cup with eight goals, making him Golden Boot Winner.
As for the prediction regarding the Golden Glove, EA Sports revealed that it will also go to the Argentian Emiliano Martínez. They revealed in the same post, “There was a four-way tie for the Golden Glove between Rui Patrício of Portugal, Alisson of Brazil, Dominik Livaković of Croatia, and Emiliano Martínez of Argentina, but it was Martínez who picked up the award by virtue of progressing the furthest in the tournament.”
The prediction game is open for FIFA 23 players who can now make their own predictions for the FIFA World Cup 2022. The top predictors could get a chance to win Three Limited Time FIFA world cup player items, which they can utilise for their FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. FIFA Games will be known as EA sports FC Games once FIFA 23 is concluded.
