Vivo recently launched the S16 series in China. The company launched three smartphones in the lineup, the S16e, S16 and S16 Pro. The devices were launched at the end of 2022.
The S16 and S16 Pro arrived earlier this year in India with some tweaked specs in the form of the V27 series. Vivo might launch the S17 series soon in China. The devices are likely to debut as the V29 series in India in the coming months. The company has not confirmed any details about the same. However, some key specifications about the S17 series have surfaced online.
A new leak has now revealed the specifications of the S17 and S17 Pro. Tipster Digital Chat Station, who has a reputation for leaking some key specs and features of smartphones days in advance, has now revealed (via) the S17 series specs ahead of debut.
Vivo launched the Vivo S16 series in China back in December and it looks like the brand is working towards unveiling the Vivo S17 lineup shortly, probably in May or June.
In line with that, the rumour mill has started leaking newer details about the phones. Recently, it is reported that the series will have three models: the Vivo S17, Vivo S17e, and Vivo S17 Pro.
Now, in a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the key specifications of the Vivo S17 and Vivo S17 Pro phones.
The phones bear model numbers: V2285A (Vivo S17e), V2283A (Vivo S17), and V2284A (Vivo S17 Pro).

Vivo S17 Series Specifications
According to the tipster, the Vivo S17 will be powered by the Snapdragon SM7325, which could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 782G chipset.
On the other hand, the Vivo S17 Pro will ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. In comparison, the Vivo S16 and S16 Pro came with the Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 8200 chipsets, respectively.
The leakster further claimed that the Vivo S17 and S17 Pro will feature a BOE-supplied OLED display with up to 1.5K resolution. The leakster hasn’t revealed the screen size. Earlier reports indicated the phones will have curved panels.
The Vivo S17 and S17 Pro will have a 50MP Sony IMX766V primary camera, which could have OIS support. There is a 12MP IMX663 telephoto camera. Lastly, the leakster reveals the Vivo S17 series will support 80W fast charging support. That’s pretty much everything that is known about phones at the moment.
