Vivo has officially launched the latest S17 series smartphone, the Vivo S17e in China. Ahead of the official launch, the handset was accidentally listed by Vivo on its official website a few days back. Speaking about the specifications, the newly launched Vivo S17e features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core chipset which is coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The handset sports a dual-camera setup and packs a 4,600mAh battery which offers 66W fast charging support.
Smartphone maker Vivo has officially unveiled the Vivo S17e in China, shortly after listing it on the website. The smartphone is a part of the Vivo S17 series, which also includes the vanilla Vivo S17 and the top-end model Vivo S17 Pro. The Vivo S17 and the Vivo S17 Pro are yet to be unveiled in China.
The Vivo S17e has been launched with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, AMOLED display, dual camera setup, in-display fingerprint sensor, and much more.
The newly launched vivo S17e comes in three storage variants – 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB, priced at CNY 2,099 (approx Rs 24,785), CNY 2,299 (approx Rs 27,150), and CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 29,510). The newly launched smartphone can now be pre-ordered but will be available from May 20th.
Vivo S17 series India launch
Vivo generally releases its S-series in India under the V-series moniker. Similarly, the Vivo S17 series is expected to launch in India as the Vivo V29 series. Vivo S17e Specifications, Features
Under the hood, the S17e is equipped with an octa-core Dimensity 7200 processor which is paired with Mali-G610 MC4 GPU GPU. The smartphone packs 12GB LPDDR4X of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. On the software side of things, the device boots Android 13 OS with OriginOS 3 on top.
For selfies and video-calling purposes, the S17e relies on a 16MP camera. The handset features a dual-camera setup at the back which consists of a 64MP main camera with OIS support.
The 64MP sensor is accompanied by a 2MP secondary lens which has a f/2.4 aperture. The device features an in-display fingerprint sensor for the security purpose.
In terms of connectivity, the handset has 5G SA/NSA support, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, USB Type-C port, NFC, stereo speaker, and Hi-Res audio. The Vivo S17e is equipped with a 4,600mAh battery which supports 66W fast charging. Dimensions-wise, the device measures 164.20×74.90×7.4mm and weighs 178 grams.
