And now, it has even surfaced on FCC as well, which has revealed its key specifications.
Vivo launched the Vivo S17 series smartphones in China on May 2023. The series comprises Vivo S17, S17e, S17t and S17 Pro.
The Vivo S17 series smartphones were initially tipped to launch as Vivo V29 series smartphones in the global markets.
However, recent developments revealed that Vivo might tweak smartphones for the international markets.
Previously, a report revealed that Vivo might launch the V29 series smartphones in June in India.
Since Vivo launched the Vivo V27 series smartphones in March 2023 in India, they might have delayed the launch of the V29 series smartphones.
The upcoming Vivo V29 smartphone was spotted on FCC and reveals key specifications of the forthcoming device.
Vivo V29 Key Specifications Revealed
The FCC listing reveals that the upcoming smartphone will feature the model number V2250. The device with the same model number was recently spotted on NBTC and SIRIM certification websites.
The FCC listing tells us that the upcoming device will feature 5G, LTE, Bluetooth and NFC support. The listing also confirmed the presence of a 4505mAh battery.
The smartphone will also get support for 80W wired fast charging tech. Vivo will ship the smartphone with a brick with the model number V8073L0A0.
The FCC listing has yet to reveal any other specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
The NBTC listing also revealed that the device would have 5G connectivity. The GCF listing confirmed the moniker of the forthcoming device.
The listing confirmed that the vanilla V29 will support n1, n2, n3, n5, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n77, and n78 5G bands.
The smartphone was also previously listed in IMDA and Bluetooth SIG, hinting that the launch is nearing. The smartphone’s GeekBench listing also confirmed the device’s model number. The listing reveals the device will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset.
The chipset has one Kryo 670 Prime (Cortex-A78) clocked at 2.5 GHz, three cores Kryo 670 Gold (Cortex-A78) at 2.2 GHz, and four cores Kryo 670 Silver (Cortex-A55) at 1.9 GHz.
Qualcomm has built the chipset using a 6nm process and is equipped with Adreno 642L GPU.
The GeekBench listing confirms the device will be paired with up to 8GB of RAM. The device will also run on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box.
In contrast, the vanilla Vivo V27 features a 6.78-inch Super AMOLED display with 3D curved edges. The display has a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Underneath, it is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, built on a 4nm process.
The device has a triple rear camera setup comprising a primary 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor. The sensor is paired with 8MP ultra-wide-angle and 2MP macro lenses. The Vivo V27 smartphone is backed by a 4600 mAh battery which supports 66W fast charging tech.

Looking at the FCC listing, the upcoming smartphone carries the V2250 model number. The database reveals that the device will feature 5G and LTE networking, along with Bluetooth and NFC support.
Notably, the FCC sighting has even confirmed that the new Vivo V29 5G will be powered by a 4,505mAh battery pack that will support 80W fast charging from its charging brick that has the V8073L0A0 model number.
