At least that’s what Vivo’s upcoming devices say about the brand. Gizmochina recently spotted Vivo X200+ in the IMEI database.

There is some confusion about the handset name though.

This new model was initially rumoured to be the Vivo X200 Mini. However, it has now been confirmed as the Vivo X200+.

Vivo is expected to boost its position in the high-end smartphones with X200+.

The brand has been carefully planning the release of this phone.

To start with, the device was listed in the IMEI database for some time.

Interestingly, the model number V2415, initially labelled as Vivo V200+ on August 13 was later updated to Vivo X200 on August 18.

Reports suggest this name change move by Vivo is strategic and is aimed at preventing early leaks.

Although Vivo’s efforts at maintaining secrecy haven’t yielded much results.

Despite all the efforts, the existence of the Vivo X200+ has been revealed, with the model number and IMEI number remaining consistent.
