Vivo might launch a new Y-series smartphone soon. The company recently launched the Y35 series with affordable 5G smartphone specifications and features. It looks like another Y-series smartphone with budget specs is set to hit the market.
Vivo might soon launch the Y27 5G in various markets. The device has been spotted on the Google Play Console website, hinting at an imminent launch.
The listing reveals some key specifications of the upcoming Vivo smartphone. Based on the details revealed via the Google Play Console listing, it looks like the Y27 5G will be a rebadged version of the Y36 5G, which was launched earlier this month.

Vivo Y27 5G: Specifications Revealed So Far
The Vivo Y27 5G will be a new budget smartphone from the company. It is likely to launch soon in various markets as a rebadged version of the Y36 5G.
According to the listing, the Y27 5G has the model number V2248. The model number is shared with the Y36 5G, which suggests that the phone might launch in other markets as the Y27 5G.
The listing on Google Play Console further reveals that the Vivo Y27 features a MediaTek MT6833 SoC, which is essentially the Dimensity 700 SoC.
However, considering MediaTek has rebadged its entire lineup, the SoC featuring in the Y27 5G might feature a Dimensity 6020 SoC. It has two cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz. There is also a Mali G57 GPU under the hood.
The variant of the Y27 5G listed on Geekbench has 6GB of RAM. We can expect the phone to launch with 128GB of storage. It also revealed that the Y27 5G runs Android 13 out of the box. Depending on the market of launch, the phone might feature Funtouch OS 13 or Origin OS 3 on top of Android.
The phone is also confirmed to feature a Full HD+ resolution display with 1080 x 2388 pixels and 440PPI screen density.
Considering the Y27 5G will be a rebadged version of the Y36 5G, it should pack the following specs:

According to the information found on the Google Play Console listing, the Vivo Y36 5G (V2248) is expected to have a display with Full HD+ resolution. The phone will have a centrally located punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
Under the hood, it will be powered by an octa-core Dimensity 700 (MT6833) processor. The device will offer up to 6GB of RAM and will run on the Android 13 operating system upon release.
Moving on to the Vivo Y78m (PD2278), it will also feature a Full HD+ resolution display with a punch-hole cutout. Additionally, it will be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7020 processor and 12GB of RAM.
Like the Vivo Y36 5G, the Y78m will come with Android 13 OS out of the box, along with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 13 skin on top.

Based on a previous teaser, the upcoming Vivo Y36 smartphone has been confirmed to feature a modern and sleek design, utilizing dynamic glass construction. It will have a rectangular camera module on the back panel and a front display with a centered punch-hole cutout.
For convenient and secure access, the device will incorporate a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded within the power button. The expected display size for the Y36 is 6.8 inches, likely utilizing an LCD panel.
Rumors suggest that the Vivo Y36 will be powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor, delivering reliable performance and smooth multitasking capabilities. With 8GB of RAM and innovative virtual RAM technology, users can expect seamless performance, even during resource-intensive tasks.
The device is also rumored to offer 256GB of internal storage, providing ample space for apps, files, and media.
In terms of battery life, the Y36 is expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging, allowing for quick recharging. The camera setup is reported to include two sensors along with an LED flash unit.
