Vivo appears to be gearing up to expand its Y-series lineup with the upcoming Vivo Y29 4G. The phone has been recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform by the Mysmartprice team. It had previously been spotted on the EEC certification database confirming its model number (V2434) and moniker.

The Vivo Y29 4G has also been spotted on the IMEI and GSMA databases indicating an imminent launch. The device will serve as the successor to the Vivo Y28 4G, which debuted in June this year.
Notably, the Y28 4G was not launched in India, though its 5G variant arrived earlier in January.
To recall, the Vivo Y28 4G came with a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, a massive 6,000mAh battery, an HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 50MP rear camera and 44W fast charging.
While the full details of the Vivo Y29 4G are yet to be unveiled, its Snapdragon 685 SoC and Android 15 promise notable upgrades over its predecessor.
