Here’s a step-by-step guide to file a complaint about cyber crime online in India: -Open the cybercrime.gov.in. -Click on the ‘file a complaint’ option. -Accept the terms and conditions
-Click on the ‘Report Other Cybercrime’ button. -Mention the details if you are an existing user or click on Click Here for New User to create a new account. -Choose ‘Citizen Login’ and mention the details that include– state, username, and mobile number. -Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and the captcha. -Now click on the Submit button -The next page will ask you to enter key details in the form. The form consists of 4 parts that include Incident Details, Suspect Details, Complaint details, and preview and submit. -Under the incidents details column, enter the details asked.
-Click on Save and Next. -Under the suspect detail section, mention the name, identity proof, or any other proof that you carry. -Under the complaints details option, enter your details such as e-mail id, photograph, etc, and move to the next step. -Once you have verified all the details, click on the Confirm and Submit button. Your complaint has now been filed. -You can also download the PDF file of the complaint filed.
