Fortnite and Epic Games Store to Hit iOS in 2025 with a Big Catch

Fortnite and Epic Games Store are confirmed to launch on iOS as early as next year. However, not everyone will be able to access them.

Fortnite is Back! – Fortnite will be available on iOS in the second half of 2025. – The Epic Games Store will also be released on iOS in 2025. – This announcement comes after the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA) was announced.

Limited Access – There's a catch to Fortnite's return. – Fortnite and the Epic Games Store will be limited to the UK. – This limitation is due to the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA) regulations.

Third-Party App Stores – The DMA has prompted Apple to change its App Store policy. – Users can now download apps from third-party stores. – A few other third-party stores are joining the iOS ecosystem – Users can download 1 million apps for free; Apple charges a small fee thereafter. – Apart from Epic Games Store, MacPaw’s Setapp and AltStore PAL are other third-party stores on iOS. – AltStore PAL is already available in Europe.
