POCO F5 features a plastic build with a glossy back finish which attracts a lot of smudges. The Carbon Black variant has a carbon pattern on the back panel which is only visible when you shine light on it. The phone has slight curves at the edges and weighs 181 grams, making it easy to hold for long hours. The device is also IP53-rated.

The POCO F5 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and uses Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also has Dolby Vision HDR10+ support and 1,000 nits of peak brightness.

The POCO F5 runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13. POCO promises two years of major OS updates and three years of security updates. The device has some pre-installed apps which can be uninstalled. The overall experience is smooth and also the spam notifications have been reduced.
