Objectives & Goals – Boost domestic & global investments in electronics components. – Strengthen India's electronics supply chain & increase domestic value addition (DVA). – Integrate Indian companies with global value chains (GVCs).
Key Features & Incentives – Sub-assemblies: Display & camera module incentives. – Bare Components: PCBs, Li-ion cells, electro-mechanical components. – Supply Chain: Incentives for parts & capital goods. – Employment-Linked Incentive: Payout based on job creation.
Expected Impact & Industry Growth – Rs. 59,350 crore in investment & Rs. 4,56,500 crore in production. – 91,600 direct jobs + indirect employment opportunities. – India's electronics production grew from Rs. 1.90L Cr (2014-15) to Rs. 9.52L Cr (2023-24), with exports rising from Rs. 0.38L Cr to Rs. 2.41L Cr.
