The list of smartphones include a few Android and iPhone models, which has left many users worried that they will not be able to access WhatsApp from New Year’s eve but rest assured that there is no reason to worry.
WhatsApp has clarified that only those smartphones running on an outdated operating system will no longer be able to get WhatsApp’s services from the last day of 2022.
The phones include many brands like Apple, Samsung, LG, Sony, and others. It isn’t that WhatsApp will vanish into thin air from your smartphones but just that those users with any of the 49 devices will no longer be able to get new updates like features and security updates from WhatsApp.
The list of smartphones featured are many years old and therefore, most likely to be used by only a handful of people, while some are so obsolete that no one would be using it unless they’re in extremely dire straits.
