Meta-owned messaging app better known as WhatsApp is now making it easier for users to get in touch with the app support team. It appears WhatsApp is working on a new ‘Chat with Us’ feature for its web app. Here’s what we know about the feature so far.

Revealed by trusted WhatsApp beta reporter WABetaInfo, the feature is designed to make it easier for users to get support directly from the WhatsApp team. This feature aims to simplify the support process, letting users skip FAQs and quickly connect with either automated responses or human representatives.


According to the WABetaInfo report, WhatsApp users will receive a notification that a support chat will be initiated soon when they select Chat with Us in the Help section. Initially, the response might be AI-generated or automated, but users can request to speak with a human representative if needed.

This is particularly useful for addressing more complex issues that automation cannot resolve. Users will first provide details about their query, and the system will process their request before sending a follow-up response in the same chat.

If the automated response doesn’t resolve the issue, the chat can be escalated to a human agent.

As of now, getting help on WhatsApp often requires navigating through a lengthy list of FAQs, which can be time-consuming and may not always provide the right solutions. The new feature changes the whole support process into one step and creates a direct line of communication with WhatsApp’s support team.
