Xiaomi has announced a global launch event for April 18th where it is set to unveil its flagship smartphone the, Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
In addition to the global launch, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will also debut in China at the same time, and the Xiaomi Pad 6 is also expected to unveiled at the same event. There is no word however on when and whether the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will launch in India or not.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has been rumoured for quite some time with its specifications, design and even pricing leaked on multiple platforms.
According to leaks, the smartphone will be Xiaomi’s most premium offering till date.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Launch: What You Need to Know
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will make its global debut on April 18. The company, at the time of writing this, has not confirmed the India launch plans. The latest teasers suggest that the device will be launched in China and select global markets.
However, official India handles of Xiaomi’s social media accounts have not confirmed
any details about the launch in the country.
Another piece of detail revealed via the invite shows the phone in its black colour variant, which has a textured surface. The rear panel might feature faux leather materials to give the phone a camera-like look and feel. There is also a golden ring around the camera module, which was also seen in the 12S Ultra.
The official Xiaomi Weibo handle also shared some camera samples shot at different focal lengths. Most of the samples are shot at 75mm and 120mm focal lengths. A couple of images are shot at a 23mm focal length, which should be using the main camera sensor.
The company did not reveal any other specifications about the phone. However, thanks to the rumour mill, a lot about the 13 Ultra has been tipped.
Xiaomi is expected to pack a 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 camera sensor on the back. The camera setup is also likely to feature a 50MP ultra-wide camera and two more 50MP sensors for telephoto zoom shots. There are rumours about the phone providing support for a variable aperture.
The design renders of the phone have leaked as well. At the moment, it is hard to say if the design renders are completely accurate as the teasers do not completely highlight the rumoured two-step camera module design.
The renders further revealed that the 13 Ultra will sport a flat frame and have a hole-punch display with a 32MP front camera.
The phone will feature a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display. It will feature an LTPO panel with a refresh rate switching between 1Hz and 120Hz. Under the hood, the 13 Ultra will get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
It is said to launch with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The 13 Ultra is also likely to feature a 4900mAh battery. It will support 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone will boot Android 13 out of the box and have MIUI 14 on top.
