Exhibit A: the I14 Pro Max, an iPhone 14 Pro Max clone, which has been listed on the Chinese e-commerce platform for a fraction of what the original goes for.
Available for purchase globally, the 114 Pro Max has two listings (1,2) on Aliexpress (via Gizmochina) that reveal a design that looks eerily similar to the ultra-premium iPhone 14 Pro Max by Apple.
In certain user review photos, the back of the smartphone has been lifted off from the Apple flagship with a similar, albeit smaller, triple rear camera setup.
However, with a price tag of $89.69 (approx Rs 7,600) for the 2GB RAM variant and $126 (Rs 10,800 roughly) for the 6GB RAM model, it is probably futile to be disappointed.
Copied iPhone 14 Pro Max!
The duplicate of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is called the i14 Pro Max (well, an obvious choice!) and is now listed on AliExpress for anyone to purchase.
From a far-off look, the phone is the exact replica of the 14 Pro Max and it would be hard to differentiate. To recall, there was another clone that showed up on the 1688 website right after the iphone 14 series was launched.
The i14 Pro Max has the same flat-edge design with a glass-like and premium finish. The back is seen with a huge hump with the cameras arranged in a triangle (although, only two work).
The major difference, however, is the small ‘Dynamic Island,” which looks like a simple elongated punch-hole without any functionality.
Plus, green, light purple, and grey colors along with the lack of the Apple logo will easily help you figure out the truth.
There are gold and silver colors and this fully resembles the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The other model has a bigger 6.8-inch display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a smaller 2,550mAh battery, and a 2MP rear and a 2MP selfie shooter. Both support facial recognition.
While the i14 Pro Max with a 6.5-inch display is priced at SG$ 179.37 (~ Rs 10,800), the variant with the 6.8-inch display retails at SG$ 127.35 (~ Rs 7,700). This is way, way cheaper than the starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is Rs 1,39,900.
And, did we tell you that this iPhone 14 Pro Max clone runs Android? Yeah, I mean there is no other option given Apple does not make available its iOS for open source boot loading.
That said, the specifications listed on Aliexpress include a full-HD+ 6.5-inch AMOLED (!!) display with a 95 percent screen-to-body ratio and 120Hz refresh rate that, pardon us, we find really hard to swallow at that price.
Furthermore, the smartphone is claimed to come with face unlock, a MediaTek MTK6753 processor, 6GB RAM, 128 GB storage, 2800mAh battery, 8+16MP cameras, and dual SIM card support.
Interestingly, the face unlock technology on the front looks narrower than even the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which makes us wonder whether this seller on Aliexpress really did figure out a way to refine it further (not).
Just to be clear, we never condone these kinds of clones and advise you to stay away from such listings. Honestly, it is a matter of time before these clones are delisted from Aliexpress, and better to stay wary and be sorry after you repent such a purchase.
iPhone 14 Pro Max clones are sold with Apple’s logo, iOS interface, and more
A Chinese YouTuber @Amazing Unboxing shared two iPhone 14 Pro Max clones in his latest video which were bought from the local market. The clone came in the iPhone 13 Pro Max box; a thin black box, with packing stickers and information.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max clone had the same white protective cover on the screen and came with a charging cable and instruction manual and stickers. The UI of the clone is the same as iOS with widgets and apps on the Home Screen, search interface, and other features.
On the back, the smartphone has Apple’s logo. Although the rear camera module is larger, the lenses give the clone away. The lenses have a larger white part which is not the same as iPhone 12 Pro or later Pro model. The camera quality is oka-ish but does not focus and zoom in or out.
However, it appears that the clone smartphone does not have FaceID, and the Youtuber did not test the selfie camera. Maybe the notch is decorative and not functional. He did not share the price of the clone but in the description, he mentions that clones for the entire iPhone 14 series are available.
