Xiaomi recently expanded its flagship lineup in China with the launch of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Xiaomi 17 series currently includes four models, which are the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, and the newly unveiled Ultra variant. Now, it appears Xiaomi is not introducing new models in the lineup. A fresh leak suggests that Xiaomi is already working on another smartphone.
According to a recent post by tipster Digital Chat Station on Chinese App Weibo, the upcoming Xiaomi 17 series phone is currently under testing and is expected to be a minor refresh rather than a completely new flagship.

The tipster claims the device will feature a large flat display measuring either 6.8 inches or 6.9 inches, with slim and symmetrical bezels on all sides.
The handset is believed to be an incremental upgrade over the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which already sports a 6.9-inch screen. Although the exact name of the device has not been revealed, the leak states that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It is also expected to include a periscope telephoto camera, a feature already present on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.
Beyond these details, specifications of the upcoming smartphone remain unknown for now. In terms of launch timeline, the leak suggests that the device could make its debut in the first half of 2026.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has already secured certifications in several markets including India, Thailand, and Singapore. The model alongside the standard Xiaomi 17 could be introduced in global markets by March 2026.
