OnePlus has officially confirmed that the OnePlus Turbo 6 and the OnePlus Turbo 6V will launch in China soon. The brand has also showcased the design of both smartphones during a recent live event, while also teasing several key specifications. Here’s what we know so far.
OnePlus announced that the OnePlus Turbo 6 series on Weibo recently and confirmed that it will be unveiled in China on January 8 at 7pm local time (6:30am IST). During the same live event, the company highlighted the design and major specifications of the upcoming smartphones. The details of the live event were shared online by famous tipster Abhishek Yadav @yabhishekhd on X.
According to the official reveal, both the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V appear to share the same overall design language. They come with a square-shaped camera island on the rear panel that houses a dual camera setup along with an LED flash.
The smartphones are expected to feature a matte-finished frame with colour-matched edges. OnePlus has teased the Turbo 6 in black, silver, and turquoise colour options, while the Turbo 6V will be available in black and silver shades.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 is confirmed to feature a 1.5K resolution display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It will sport a plastic frame and carry IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. OnePlus has also confirmed the presence of an Adreno 825 GPU, with the phone running on Android 16.
In the camera department, the OnePlus Turbo 6 will offer a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary lens. For selfies and video calls, it will feature a 32-megapixel front camera. The device will also include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Powering the handset will be a massive 9,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging.
Alongside the OnePlus Turbo 6, the Chinese company has also revealed several details about the OnePlus Turbo 6V. While it shares many features with the standard model, it differs in a few areas. It is expected to offer the same battery capacity, camera setup and connectivity features as the standard OnePlus Turbo 6. However, Turbo 6V will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. And it is teased to come with a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate.
