Realme appears to be preparing for the launch of new devices. According to reports, the upcoming Realme 16T 5G and Realme Watch S5 have now secured certification from Malaysia’s SIRIM authority. This comes shortly after the Realme 16T 5G was spotted on Thailand’s NBTC platform hinting that both products could arrive together soon.
The SIRIM database listing reveals that the Realme 16T 5G carries the model number RMX5268, while the Realme Watch S5 is listed with the model number RMW2502.
However, as is usually the case with such certifications and no additional specifications or features have been disclosed at this stage.
According to recent leaks, the Realme 16T 5G is expected to be available in multiple configurations including 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The smartphone is also tipped to arrive in colour options such as Starlight Red, Starlight Black, and Aurora Green.
The device is also reportedly heading to India as it was previously approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). In terms of pricing, it is likely to be positioned below the Realme 16, which starts at Rs 31,999. This suggests that the Realme 16T 5G could be launched in India at around Rs 25,000.
The Realme Watch S5 has also been making its way through certification platforms including Indonesia’s SDPPI authority.
At present, there are no confirmed details regarding its specifications, and more information is expected to surface in the coming weeks.
The upcoming smartwatch will succeed the Realme Watch S2, which was launched in 2024. The brand skipped the Watch S3 and Watch S4 naming and is now preparing to introduce the Watch S5. Similar to the smartphone, the smartwatch is also expected to arrive in India as it has been listed on the BIS certification platform.
We can expect more details to surface about both the Realme 16T 5G and Realme Watch S5 closer to their official launch.
Both devices have secured SIRIM certification in Malaysia, with earlier listings on NBTC (Thailand) and BIS (India).
