Xiaomi has confirmed the Redmi Note 14 5G as one of its upcoming releases.
Gizmochina revealed in its latest story that the smartphone’s model number was recently updated in the GSMA IMEI database.
This confirmation also hints that the entire Redmi Note 14 series is set to be introduced in September.
The Redmi Note 14 5G appeared in the IMEI database under model number 24094RAD4G.
The Redmi Note 14 series was identified with codenames “Beryl,” “Amethyst,” and “Malachite.”
The smartphone has already generated anticipation among the Redmi fanbase.
In terms of features and design, reports have been hinting that the Redmi Note 14 will share stark similarities with its predecessor Redmi Note 13 5G.
In a previous report, Gizmochina revealed that the Redmi Note 14 5G with the HyperOS source code will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+.
On the other hand, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G with the codename “Amethyst” and internal model number O16U will be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor.
The 7s Gen 3 will offer 20% better CPU performance and up to 40% more GPU power.
This will make the Redmi Note 14 a smartphone with better capability for heavy gaming and multitasking.
The report also indicated that the camera setup of the smartphone may vary depending on the market.
This means the phone might have different cameras in different regions.
As per reports, the global version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G will feature a triple camera system.
This will include a telephoto lens, which will allow users to zoom in on objects while maintaining high image quality.
On the other hand, the Note 14 Pro 5G model to be available in China will come equipped with a macro lens.
The Chinese market version of the phone will not carry a telephoto lens.
This Macro lens is for those users who enjoy capturing detailed close-up photos of small objects.
Rumours further suggest the Note 14 Series may support 45W fast charging.
It is important to note that the features as per rumours are just rumours at the moment.
The brand has yet to officially confirm anything regarding the Redmi Note 14 series.
