Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is all set to introduce the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G in India later this week. The upcoming model will join the Note series lineup and is positioned as a special edition of the Redmi Note 15 5G. Ahead of launch, the company has revealed key details including battery capacity, chipset, camera setup and colour options. Here are all the details.
According to updated details listed on the official microsite, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will pack a 5,800mAh battery, which is larger than the 5,520mAh unit found on the standard Redmi Note 15 5G. The company claims the device can deliver more than 44 hours of usage on a single charge.
The smartphone will support 45W wired fast charging, ensuring quicker top-ups despite the larger battery capacity.
Powering the device will be an octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, the same processor used in the standard model. Redmi claims the phone will offer “48-month lag free performance”, along with a 10 percent GPU boost and a 30 percent CPU boost.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart following its launch on April 2.
The handset will be offered in three colour options, which includes Carbon Black, Crimson Reserve (Red) and Frosted White. Notably, the Crimson Reserve variant will feature a vegan leather back panel and measure just 7.82mm in thickness.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will feature a dual rear camera setup housed inside a squircle-shaped camera module. The system will be led by a 50-megapixel MasterPixel primary sensor capable of recording videos in up to 4K resolution. For comparison, the standard Redmi Note 15 5G comes equipped with a 108-megapixel main camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
