The device seems to be rebranded version of the Moto X40 that debuted in the Chinese market last December. Now, the Moto Edge 40 Pro has appeared on Geekbench with key specifications. Motorola Edge 40 Pro Geekbench The Motorola Edge 40 Pro moniker has been confirmed through the Geekbench listing. The motherboard section mentions ‘rtwo’,. As per the benchmark database, the Moto Edge 40 Pro is listed with an ARMv8 processor that comprises three cores clocked at 2.02GHz, four cores at 2.80GHz, and one core at 3.19GHz. It corresponds to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The listing mentions 12GB RAM onboard, but we can expect more options at launch. The smartphone will run on Android 13 OS out of the box. In the Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, the Moto Edge 40 Pro scores 1,480 points and 4,889 points respectively. According to the Geekbench test result, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will come powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The device will ship with 12GB of RAM and it will run Android 13 OS out of the box. In the Geekbench test result, the phone has managed to pull off 1480 and 4889 points in the single and multi-core tests respectively. The Geekbench test result does indicate that the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will have the same hardware as that of the Chinese X40 5G variant. Motorola Edge 40 Pro will launch in two colour options — Black and Blue. Moto X40 specifications Moto X40 sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a curved screen, a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, a 165Hz refresh rate, DC Dimming, HDR, and 10bit colours. The display panel is supposed to have a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and a 165Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC paired with Adreno GPU, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The handset runs on Android 13-based MyUX custom skin out of the box. Moto X40 has triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary unit, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens. There is a 60MP unit on the front for selfies and video chats.
