The new Realme C-series smartphone will launch in Malaysia on June 6 and is likely to debut in other markets in the coming weeks. Realme has not confirmed any details about the phone’s India availability. However, Indian customers are not missing out on the phone as the C53 is essentially a rebadged version of the Narzo N53, which was launched earlier this month in India. We say so as the official Realme Malaysia website has revealed the design and the key specifications of the phone. The C53 has a flat frame and body. It will be launched in Malaysia in two colour options. Realme today has announced the latest addition to its 2023 entry-level smartphone line-up with the all-new realme C53. Most interestingly, the company also revealed that the device will make its first debut in Malaysia next week on 6 June 2023, ahead of other markets around the world. Apart from its design, a lot of details surrounding the realme C53, such as its specifications, are still kept under wraps. Based on the provided promo image, the phone unmistakably shares an almost uncanny resemblance to current generation iPhones but with a textured finish on its rear panel, which the company dubs as “Shiny Champion”. So far, there are only two colourways shown: Champion Gold and Mighty Black. realme also revealed that its new entry-level smartphone will be the second device to come with the brand’s Dynamic Island-like Mini Capsule feature. The first of which, as you may recall, is the realme C55 model that was released in Malaysia back in March this year. The company added that the feature currently comes with a battery status function, and would soon receive data usage and steps indicators via an over-the-air (OTA) update after the phone’s official launch. Moreover, it also revealed that the Mini Capsule feature will be a standard for all of its C series devices that are released this year. One thing we should point out is that the realme C53 seems like a rebranded Narzo N53 that was released in India earlier this month, given the fact that the two share a very similar design. However, this might not be the case as the latter is believed to feature a water-drop notch, and does not support the Mini Capsule feature for obvious reasons. Meanwhile, unofficial listings on numerous e-commerce sites suggest that the newer phone also packs different hardware than the Narzo N53, namely its display and chipset. According to Smartprix, the realme C53 is equipped with a 6.72-inch IPS display with a punch-hole cutout, 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, and 550 nit brightness. It is also claimed that the phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, 6 GB of RAM (expandable up to 12GB via virtual memory), 128GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support via USB-C. Imaging-wise, the new entry-level smartphone is said to feature a 50MP primary and a 2MP depth sensor, while the third module on its iPhone-like arrangement actually houses a flash unit. In front, found within the display’s punch-hole cutout is believed to be an 8MP selfie camera. Let’s take a look at the Realme C53 specifications, features and other details revealed ahead of the launch. Realme C53: Specifications and Features Revealed The Realme C53 will be one of the most affordable smartphones from the company. The device will debut on June 6 in Malaysia. Ahead of the launch, Realme has listed the phone’s key specs and features on its official website. The listing confirms that the C53 will sport a waterdrop notch at the top of the display. The chin bezel is quite thick compared to the rest of the bezels around the screen. Despite the bezels and the waterdrop notch, the phone offers a good 90.3 per cent screen-to-body ratio. On the back, the phone has a square-shaped camera module with three circular cutouts. There is a dual-camera setup on the back and an LED flash module. The power and volume buttons are located on the right edge of the phone. One of the teaser images confirms that the C53 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. In addition to the design, the website also reveals the key specs and features of the phone. The C53 is claimed to offer an all-day battery. Realme claims that the phone will have “plenty of power left at the end of the day” even after consuming content or playing games. The phone will also have up to 12GB of RAM, which will be a combination of physical and virtual RAM. In addition to this, there will be up to 128GB of internal storage. The C53 is also the company’s slimmest phone to date, which is the same as the Narzo N53. It measures 7.49mm and continues to pack a 5000mAh battery. Also, the company revealed that the phone will launch in Champion Gold and Mighty Black colour options. Ans) The upcoming Realme RMX3760 has acquired NBTC certification. The listing confirms that the Realme RMX3760 will launch as the Realme C53. Earlier, a few reports speculated that the Realme RMX might launch under the Realme 11 series. However, the latest certification listing clears the air around the moniker but the listing doesn’t reveal anything in terms of specifications. The Realme C53 with model number RMX3760 has already been certified in the US, Europe, and Indonesia. The FCC listing for the device has already confirmed the presence of a 5000mAh battery unit under the hood. As per the certification listing, the upcoming Realme smartphone will be equipped with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support, similar to its elder sibling – Realme C55. The upcoming Realme C53, as per FCC filing, will come pre-loaded with Android 13. However, as usual, there would be Realme UI 4.0 skin on top. Also, FCC documents revealed that the Realme C53 will be a 4G only device. No surprises there since Realme hasn’t yet unveiled a 5G-enabled smartphone undee the C-series.
