WhatsApp now allows users to add and use multiple accounts within the same app. You can switch between different phone numbers with a single tap, without relying on third-party apps or device cloning features. This makes account management simpler and more secure for professionals and frequent users.
Language barriers are no longer a major issue on WhatsApp. The app now lets users translate messages directly within chats. By long-pressing a message and selecting the translate option, you can instantly view the text in your preferred language.
WhatsApp also allows users to download language packs, enabling faster translations without constantly relying on cloud processing.
The feature is available for Android and iPhone users in a few select languages to start with. Android users will find it available in six languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic. For our iPhone users, the feature will launch in 19+ languages.
Keeping up with busy group chats can be overwhelming. To solve this, WhatsApp has introduced AI-based message summaries. Instead of scrolling through hundreds of unread messages, users can view a concise summary highlighting the most important updates.
This feature is especially useful for work groups, community chats, and event planning, helping users stay informed without information overload.
WhatsApp supports passkeys, allowing users to log in using biometric authentication such as fingerprint or face unlock instead of one-time SMS codes. This adds an extra layer of protection and makes it far more difficult for someone to hijack your account, even if they gain access to your SIM card or attempt to register your number on another device.
