Xiaomi has just added a new model, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, to its stylish and camera-focused Civi series in China. While most of the attention at the event was on the Xiaomi 15s Pro and its new in-house Xring O1 chipset, the Civi 5 Pro still manages to stand out with solid specs and a more affordable price tag. Here’s what we know about the new smartphone.

The phone features a 6.55-inch quad-curved OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, dual punch-hole cutout and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen can hit a peak brightness of 1400 nits, making it bright and smooth for daily use.
Design-wise, the Civi 5 Pro is all about balance and texture. It comes with a metal frame and a unique “Iced American” color option that Xiaomi says has a subtle coffee aroma, definitely something different.

Xiaomi continues its partnership with Leica for the camera system. On the back, there’s a 50MP main camera with a Summilux lens and OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom (Samsung JN5 sensor), and a 12MP ultra-wide lens.
The front camera is a 50MP selfie shooter, and Xiaomi says it features a “super-transparent nano-prism”, which improves light sensitivity by 25% compared to older models.
Under the hood, the Civi 5 Pro runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, promising 31% better CPU, 49% better GPU, and 44% better AI performance than the previous generation. It uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, and to handle heat, there’s a special “three-dimensional convex ring cold pump” cooling system.
The phone packs a large 6000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. Even with this big battery, it remains slim at 7.45mm thick and weighs just 184g.
