Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro and Pad 8S Pro Receive MIIT Certification in China, Launch Could Be Around the Corner

Xiaomi appears to be gearing up to launch new tablets in China. After the Xiaomi Pad 9 recently received 3C certification, two more upcoming tablets have now appeared on China’s MIIT certification platform. The new listings are believed to belong to the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro, indicating that their official debut may not be far away.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro and Pad 8S Pro Spotted on MIIT

The latest MIIT certification includes two Xiaomi devices carrying the model numbers 2612CRPFFC and M367FC. According to a post shared on Weibo, these models are expected to launch as the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro, respectively.

While the certification does not reveal complete hardware details, it confirms the charging capabilities of both tablets.

The listing shows that the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro will support 67W fast charging, an upgrade over the standard Xiaomi Pad 9, which is expected to support 45W charging.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro is listed with support for 120W fast charging, making it the fastest-charging tablet among the upcoming models.

Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro Expected Specifications

Earlier reports suggest that the Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro will feature a 12.5-inch LCD display with a 3.2K resolution. The tablet is also tipped to pack a 12,000mAh battery, offering long battery life.

For photography, it is expected to include a 32-megapixel front camera, while the rear may feature a 50-megapixel primary camera paired with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

A separate leak showing the tablet’s About screen has also revealed that the Pad 8S Pro could be powered by Xiaomi’s in-house XRING O3 chipset. The same leak further suggests that the tablet will run HyperOS 4 based on Android 17 and confirms the previously leaked display, battery, and camera specifications.

Xiaomi Pad 9 – What to Expect?

The standard Xiaomi Pad 9 is also expected to receive several upgrades over its predecessor.

According to previous leaks, the tablet could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. It is tipped to retain 45W fast charging similar to the Xiaomi Pad 8, while offering a larger 9,720mAh battery.

Launch Timeline

Although Xiaomi has not officially announced a launch date for the new tablets, the MIIT certification suggests that they are nearing their debut. Regulatory approval from MIIT is generally one of the final steps before a product goes on sale in China.

Xiaomi is expected to unveil the new tablets alongside its next flagship smartphone rather than at a separate launch event. More official details about the tablets are likely to be announced in the coming weeks.
