Google has rolled out a major update for its Gemini app, bringing a much-needed full-screen iPad version along with expanded support for Audio Overviews in over 45 languages.
Currently, the Gemini app on iPad was just a stretched version of the iPhone app, making users rely on a smaller interface and the limited iOS keyboard. Many found using the Gemini website a better experience.

That changes with the latest update. The new app is a “full-screen, optimised iPad app” that works smoothly in both landscape and portrait modes. It uses the same design as the Android tablet version and mirrors the look and feel of gemini.google.com on the web.
The interface remains clean and simple, but now chat reading is less cramped, and the Gemini Live experience feels more natural. With the native app, Split View multitasking is now possible on iPad, making it easier to work across apps.

Meanwhile, Google is also expanding Audio Overviews. It is a feature that gives podcast-style summaries of your files and research. After launching for English users in March, Audio Overviews are now available in over 45 languages worldwide.
This follows the recent expansion of NotebookLM and gives users an easy, conversational way to hear about uploaded files and Deep Research reports.
