The iPhone 17 series is expected to launch this September. Apple is likely to unveil four models including a new iPhone 17 Air. Now, a new leak may have revealed one of the key upgrades, which is a bigger screen for the standard iPhone 17. Here’s what we know.
A listing spotted by GSMArena on Amazon India showed a tempered glass screen protector made by Spigen for the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro. While the listing is no longer live, it clearly indicated that all three phones have the same screen size.

Since the iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, it suggests that the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro may also sport 6.3-inch screens.
This would be a major change, especially for the vanilla iPhone 17, which was expected to stick with a more compact 6.1-inch display like the iPhone 16. This leak adds weight to an earlier prediction by DSCC analyst Ross Young, who said the iPhone 17 could feature a 6.27-inch display, meaning Apple is finally ready to move away from compact sizes.
The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are also rumoured to feature a 120Hz refresh rate, a big step up from the 60Hz screens seen on previous standard models. However, Apple might skip ProMotion, the adaptive refresh rate tech seen on Pro models that helps with battery and smooth animations.

In other leaks, tipster Majin Bu on X (formerly Twitter) has shared alleged images of the iPhone 17 Pro in black. The images show a redesigned camera island in the top-right corner, featuring three camera sensors and an LED flash.
As for upgrades, the iPhone 17 Pro is rumoured to get a new 48MP telephoto lens (up from 12MP), support for 8K video recording, and possibly a mechanical aperture for better light and depth control. Even the selfie camera might get bumped to 24MP.
