  • OnePlus N6x set to launch in India on July 31 with teaser confirming front design with waterdrop notch and 120Hz display.
  • It packs a 7,000mAh battery promising up to 133 hours of music playback, 20.5 hours of video and 2.5 days of usage.
  • It is available in Light Blue and Burgundy colour options.

OnePlus is all set to launch the OnePlus N6x in India on July 31 and the company has been teasing key details of the phone since the past few days. After confirming that the upcoming budget smartphone will pack a 7,000mAh battery, the latest teaser and dedicated microsite confirm the front design of the phone. Here’s more on the latest leak and everything we know about the phone so far.

OnePlus N6x Front Design Confirmed

The latest update on OnePlus N6x’s Amazon microsite and social media teasers now give a clearer look at the OnePlus N6x’s front design. An image on the Amazon microsite confirms that the smartphone will feature a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera instead of the hole-punch display seen on the OnePlus N6.

Despite these design differences, the display bezels appear to remain largely similar between the two models. The teaser also confirms that the display comes with 120Hz refresh rate built for everyday responsiveness.

Previous teasers have already confirmed the rear design and colour options. Unlike the OnePlus N6 that features a rounded-square camera module, the N6x adopts a pill-shaped rear camera island. OnePlus has also confirmed that the phone will be available in Light Blue and Burgundy colour options.

OnePlus N6x – What Else We Know?

The Amazon India microsite for the OnePlus N6x confirms a 7,000mAh battery and highlights the battery performance users can expect from a full charge. According to the company, the smartphone can offer around 20.56 hours of video playback, 133.56 hours of music playback, 25.04 hours of social media usage, and 11.26 hours of video recording.

Previously, OnePlus had only claimed that the handset could deliver up to 2.5 days of battery life on a single charge without disclosing the exact battery size. While the N6x gets a smaller battery than the 8,000mAh unit found in the OnePlus N6, it still promises strong battery performance in its segment.

While the battery size has now been confirmed, charging speed remains under wraps. Since the OnePlus N6 supports 45W fast charging, the N6x is also expected to offer similar charging capabilities, although the company has not officially confirmed this yet.

With the official launch scheduled for July 31, OnePlus is expected to reveal the remaining specifications including charging speed, pricing and availability during the launch event.

Vivo is preparing to bring back its S-series smartphones to the Indian market after almost six years with the launch of the Vivo S2. According to recent reports, the smartphone is expected to launch in India on August 6 with sales likely to begin from August 11. Now, newly leaked dummy unit pictures have surfaced online offering a detailed look at its design. Here’s more on what we know.

Vivo S2 Design Leaked Dummy Units

Tech publication PassionateGeekz recently posted pictures that are claimed to be dummy units of the upcoming Vivo S2. The pictures show the smartphone in Black and Rose Gold colour options, which is different from earlier reports that claimed the handset would arrive in Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White shades in India.

Based on the leaked images, the Vivo S2 appears to feature a matte-finished rear panel. The back houses a slightly raised, pill-shaped horizontal camera module positioned near the top. Two camera sensors are placed on the left side of the module, while a circular element believed to be a light ring is located on the right.

The dummy unit also carries a Vivo S2 branding sticker on the rear. The leak further suggests that the smartphone may come with a polycarbonate frame and a polycarbonate back panel. On the front, the device is shown with a curved display featuring a centrally positioned hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.

Vivo S2 Specifications Tipped

According to the tipster, the Vivo S2 could feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset.

For photography, the handset is said to offer a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

However, these details differ from earlier reports. Previous leaks had suggested that the Vivo S2 would feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. It was also previously tipped to arrive with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

Expected Pricing

As per earlier reports, the Vivo S2 is expected to launch in India in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants.

Recently leaked internal retail listing images had shown the smartphone in Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White colour options. The same listings reportedly revealed demo units priced at Rs. 38,000 and Rs. 42,000, while another listing mentioned the 8GB + 128GB variant with a price tag of Rs. 43,000.

Although Vivo has yet to officially announce the smartphone, the growing number of leaks suggests that the Vivo S2 could make its India debut soon.
