Motorola’s new smartphone, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, will be released in India today (February 24) at 8 p.m. IST. The smartphone will succeed the Motorola Edge 20 Pro, which was released last year.
More importantly, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is likely to be the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphone in the country. The phone’s microsite was discovered on Flipkart, indicating that it will be available today.
While Motorola has not given many details regarding the phone’s features, the majority of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro’s specifications have already been revealed. According to the rumour, the phone could be sold under a different name in the country than it was in China, where it debuted as the Moto Edge X30.
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro could pack a 6.7-inch full-HD+ POLED display that will be equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate. The HDR10+ compatibility could also be included in the Motorola Edge 30 Pro.
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro is said to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC along with up to 12GB of RAM.
A triple rear camera set-up sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor could be found on the upcoming Motorola Edge 30 Pro. Up front, a 60-megapixel selfie camera might also be included.
According to speculations, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro would include a 5,000mAh battery that comes with a 68W rapid charging.
There are no reports on the Motorola Edge 30 Pro’s price in India. If the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is merely a rebranded version of the Moto Edge X30, both phones will most likely be priced similarly. In China, the 8GB + 128GB variant costs RMB 3,199 (about Rs 38,000), while the 8GB + 256GB model costs RMB 3399 (roughly Rs 40,300) and the 12GB + 256GB model costs RMB 3,599 (nearly Rs 42,700). The 12GB + 256GB variant of the special edition Moto Edge X30 costs RMB 3,999 (approximately Rs 47,500).
