Oppo recently introduced its latest mid-range smartphone, the Oppo A6 Max, in China. As per tipster @Sudhanshu1414 on X (formerly Twitter), the device is expected to arrive in India soon as the Oppo F31 Pro+ with slight modifications. Here’s everything you need to know about the launch in the Chinese market.
The Oppo A6 Max (8GB + 256GB) is currently available in China at a price of 1,599 yuan (approx. $220). The device is available in Streamer White (glass back) and Rock Mist Blue (fiberglass back) finishes.
While Oppo has yet to confirm international availability, the phone is expected to debut in India as part of the upcoming Oppo F31 lineup.
The Oppo A6 Max sports a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800 × 1280 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and remains responsive even with wet hands. To enhance durability, Oppo has equipped the phone with its in-house Crystal Shield Glass.
For optics, the phone carries a 32MP selfie camera on the front. On the rear, it features a dual-camera setup, led by a 50MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP monochrome lens.
Under the hood, the Oppo A6 Max is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. To ensure consistent performance, the device is fitted with a 5,200mm² vapor chamber cooling system.
Despite its slim 7.7mm profile, the phone houses a massive 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. Oppo claims the device can charge up to 50% in just 24 minutes. Remarkably, the handset weighs only 198 grams, making it lighter than most large-battery smartphones.
The A6 Max integrates Oppo’s Shanhai Communication enhanced chip for better connectivity. It also supports dual-band GPS, triple-band Beidou, NFC, and even offline communication.
On the durability front, the phone is rated IP66, IP68, and IP69, offering protection against dust, immersion in water, and high-pressure water jets. This makes it suitable for rugged outdoor use. Additionally, it has cleared SGS certification for reliable high-temperature performance. Oppo has also included extra-loud speakers that the company claims can deliver up to a 300% sound boost, ideal for outdoor environments.
Meanwhile, Oppo is also gearing up to launch its entire Oppo F31 series, which will include the Oppo F31, Oppo F31 Pro, and Oppo F31 Pro+.
