Oppo is gearing up to launch the Find X9 series in October and official details about the upcoming flagship have started to emerge. In a new Weibo post, Oppo Find series product manager Zhou Yibao confirmed that the Find X9 will pack a significantly larger battery than its predecessor while maintaining a slim profile.
According to Yibao’s post, the Oppo Find X9’s battery capacity will be boosted by more than 1,000mAh compared to the previous generation. For comparison, the Find X8 came with a 5,630mAh battery and a 7.855mm thickness, while the Find X8S+ offered a 6,000mAh battery inside a 7.95mm thin body. Their respective weights stood at 193 grams and 198 grams.
Yibao also shared that the Find X9 measures 7.99mm in thickness and weighs under 210 grams. Reports suggest it will carry a massive 7,025mAh battery, marking one of the biggest upgrades in the lineup’s history.
Yibao acknowledged that a larger battery generally adds weight but noted that Oppo has introduced multiple weight-reduction measures in other components to balance it out.
Leaks point to the Find X9 featuring a 6.59-inch flat OLED 1.5K 120Hz display with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Powering the device is expected to be the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone is said to ship with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and support 80W wired charging along with 50W wireless charging.
On the camera front, the Find X9 is tipped to sport a triple rear setup. It will most likely include a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Samsung JN9 periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS.
For selfies, Oppo is expected to include a 50MP front-facing camera.
