Paytm announced the launch of the Paytm Travel Carnival at the start of this month and will go on till tomorrow December 5.
The event aims to provide various discounts and offers on flight, train, and bus bookings, as we approach the year-end holiday season.
So there are offers, as is expected from a travel carnival. This includes discounts of 12-15% for transactions made through specific banks such as YES Bank, HSBC Bank, Amex Bank, and AU Small Finance Bank.
Students, senior citizens, and Armed Forces personnel have been given additional discounts of their own by Paytm.
Also for air travel bookings, Paytm claims to ensure competitive pricing for flight tickets, both for one-way and round-trip journeys.
The payment platform has gone a step further and introduced a Free Cancellation feature, with participation from airlines like Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India Express, and Akasa Air.
In terms of bus travel, the carnival is said to provide a 25% instant discount using the promo code ‘CRAZYSALE’, along with a further 20% discount on select operators.
Paytm has also implemented a live bus tracking service and asserts that it offers the lowest prices across 2500 bus operators with its Best Price Guaranteed feature.
Finally, as we cover air and road, we cannot leave out train travel for which Paytm is offering zero charges on UPI bookings and free cancellations with immediate 100% refunds on the source account for all train ticket bookings, including Tatkal tickets.
The app also provides functionalities to check the live train running status and PNR status, aiming to facilitate a more informed and stress-free journey for train travelers.
