Xiaomi appears to be gearing up for the launch of a new budget smartphone, the Poco C81 Pro. According to multiple reports, the device was briefly listed on the company’s global website before being taken down. Although the page is no longer accessible, it was indexed by Google revealing key specifications ahead of the official announcement. Here’s what we know about the phone based on this listing.
Based on the leaked information, the Poco C81 Pro is positioned as an entry-level smartphone focusing on essential features such as a large display, solid battery life and reliable performance for daily tasks.
The smartphone is said to feature a 6.9-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is expected to offer brightness levels of up to 800 nits that should make it usable under outdoor conditions.
The device is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor and is designed for basic usage scenarios like web browsing, messaging, digital payments and social media. It supports 4G connectivity and was listed with 4GB of RAM and offers storage options up to 256GB along with support for expandable storage via a microSD card.
In terms of optics, the Poco C81 Pro is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.
One of the key highlights of the device is its battery capacity. The phone packs a 6000mAh battery, which is expected to deliver all-day usage or more depending on usage patterns. Charging support is capped at 15W.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM support and it is likely to run a lightweight version of HyperOS possibly based on Android Go to ensure smoother performance on entry-level hardware.
Notably, Poco did not disclose any pricing or market availability details alongside the listing. The brand is yet to even officially confirm anything related to the device.
Some reports have pointed out that the leaked specifications suggest that the Poco C81 Pro could be a rebranded version of the Redmi A7 Pro 4G.
In any case, we will have to wait till official announcement to know more.
