The price hike is believed to be linked to the rising cost of memory components globally. Prices of DRAM and NAND flash storage have reportedly been increasing, which directly impacts smartphones that come with higher RAM and storage configurations.
This is not the first time smartphone prices have increased in the industry in recent times. The trend began last year when several flagship devices launched with noticeably higher price tags compared to their predecessors.
Over time, these increases started affecting existing models as well. Since RAM and internal storage remain among the most expensive components in modern smartphones, brands often adjust retail prices to offset the rising production costs. As a result, consumers may notice gradual price shifts even months after a phone has already launched.
