The upcoming Vivo X300 series, expected to launch later this year, could be bringing some big upgrades, especially in the camera department. According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the X300 phones will feature a powerful 200MP 1/1.4-inch main camera sensor, a major jump from the 50MP Sony LYT-818 1/1.28-inch sensor used in the current X200 series.

There were earlier rumours about the X300 using a new 50MP LYT-828 sensor, but the latest leak suggests otherwise.

Instead, the phone is expected to include a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP IMX882 telephoto lens with 3X zoom. It’s also tipped to come with a new optical focus prism module for better image stabilisation and focus.

To recap, both the X200 and X200 Pro Mini had similar ultra-wide and telephoto setups. This time, the X300 is likely to replace the Pro Mini variant, and it’s said to include some premium features like a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, and an IP68 + IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

The X300 series is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, bringing flagship-level performance.

We should get more official details in the coming months as the launch is expected in October.
