Vivo has launched the Y19s GT 5G smartphone in Indonesia. The phone carries the “GT” tag reserved for high-performance phones, but this model leans more towards the budget 5G segment. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, a processor commonly found in affordable 5G devices. The Y19s GT 5G offers some solid features including a 90Hz display, up to 8GB of RAM and a durable build. Here’s more about the phone.

The Vivo Y19s GT 5G comes with a 6.74-inch LCD display with a 1600 × 720 HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 570 nits of brightness. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is included for security.
The phone is available in 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM options and offers up to 256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. There’s also support for Extended RAM, an extra 6GB or 8GB, depending on the variant. Storage is expandable up to 2TB via microSD. It packs a 5,500mAh battery with 15W wired charging via USB-C.
On the front, the phone has a 5MP selfie camera placed inside a punch-hole cut-out. At the back, it features a 50MP dual camera setup, though Vivo hasn’t disclosed details about the second sensor yet.
The device runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. It’s also built to last, with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification, which means it has passed various durability tests, including resistance to drops, vibrations, and extreme temperatures.
Other features include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB-C port.
